Destiny Udogie to train by himself in summer after ‘significant’ Tottenham setback

The priority right now for Tottenham defender Destiny Udogie will be on rest and recovery, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that Udogie’s injury was a significant one as he had an operation on his thigh straight away.

There is also a possibility that the 21-year-old does not return for pre-season on day one or he could be back but train individually initially.

Discussing the state of play with Udogie’s setback exclusively with Tottenham NewsDr Brara doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said: “This sounds like a significant injury considering he had an operation on his thigh straight away and Ange is only hopeful that he will return for pre-season training.

That training will depend on how his rehabilitation is going leading up to it.

As of now, the focus and priority will be on rest and recovery and a return date can be assessed in a few weeks.

There remains a likelihood that he trains individually too without the first team in pre-season.
