Souza's whereabouts revealed as Tottenham exit terms come to light amid Porto move

Souza looks set to leave Tottenham Hotspur ahead of a move to FC Porto.

The Brazilian joined the Lilywhites in the winter window for a fee in excess of £10million, and already looks set to depart.

The 20-year-old arrived from Santos FC, and made a total of four appearances in the Premier League, including two starts.

However, it was clear that the left-back was going to face issues trying to break into the first-team squad this term, with Destiny Udogie as Roberto De Zerbi's first choice.

Now, Souza is set for a move to Portugal, but is it the last that Tottenham fans have seen of him?

Where is Souza ahead of Tottenham exit?

Souza has had an agreement in place with Porto since the end of July, and it looks to have taken over a month for his move to go through.

The full-back had agreed terms over a permanent N17 departure, but the deal has now changed.

As shown by journalist Sebastiao Sousa-Pinto on X, the player has arrived in Porto on Monday ahead of his move to the Portuguese giants.

However, it's said that Souza will be joining Porto on loan, with no buy option included.

Spurs will be hopeful that the youngster can get game time, and compete for a spot in the first team next summer.

Is Souza a guaranteed starter with Porto?

In order for Souza to develop, he will need a fair crack at first-team football.

While he got that with Santo in Brazil, the Portuguese first division will be a step up.

The left-back faces competition for his spot with the likes of Zaidu Sanusi, Alberto Costa and Francisco Moura, with the latter playing 35 times last season.

If Souza can become a regular, Tottenham will have an easier decision to make next summer upon his return.
