How Pape Matar Sarr will trigger Tottenham transfer as obligation terms revealed
Tottenham Hotspur have opened up a route to a permanent Pape Matar Sarr transfer.
Having slipped down the pecking order under Roberto De Zerbi, Sarr might be ready for a fresh start elsewhere.
The 23-year-old is currently nursing a minor injury problem though, which has ruled him out of the start of this season.
Indeed, he's not kicked a competitive ball in anger since representing Senegal in the round of 32 at this summer's World Cup on 1 July.
And with Spurs' midfield engine room a crowded one, Sarr is set to escape it with a move to Italy.

How many games must Pape Matar Sarr play to trigger Spurs transfer?
It was revealed on Monday that Sarr is in Turin ahead of undergoing a medical with Juventus.
BBC Sport reporter Nizaar Kinsella reaffirms that he's heading for the Serie A giants.
However, he also reveals that Sarr will join Juve for an initial £1.7million loan fee with a £24m obligation to buy if conditions are met.
Kinsella claims that those conditions are that Sarr must play in at least 50 per cent of Juventus' games.
On top of that, Juventus must also qualify for either one of the Champions League or Europa League before a permanent move can be triggered.
It's claimed that Spurs are still working to refine these clauses in order to try and ensure Juventus will have to purchase Sarr.
So, how likely are those terms to be met?
When was the last time Juventus didn't play Champions or Europa League football?
As one of the biggest clubs in Italian football, it's rare to see Juventus not competing in Europe's biggest competitions.
Finishing sixth last season, Juve are competing in the Europa League for 2026-27.
The last time they didn't play in either one of UEFA's top two club competitions was in the 2023-24 campaign.
That's because after being hit with a 10-point deduction for financial irregularities, they ended up finishing seventh in 2022-23.
In this respect then, it's very likely that Juventus will once again qualify for one of those two competitions this season.
However, that means the pressure to make a permanent transfer happen would largely be on Sarr to play well enough to hit that 50 per cent of games target.
