Tottenham yet to show ruthless side as Luka Vuskovic exit update emerges
Tottenham Hotspur defender Luka Vuskovic has been linked with an exit from North London in recent days, leaving supporters concerned.
Several players are expected to leave Spurs this summer, with Cristian Romero and Guglielmo Vicario among the most likely.
However, there are also likely to be a few stars mooted for departures when many would hope that their future is with Roberto De Zerbi's side.
Vuskovic is one of them, with the teen set to return to North London off the back of rather successful loan spell in Germany.
Brighton have been linked with a swoop for him as they seek a potential replacement for Jan Paul van Hecke, who could become a Tottenham player this summer.
And as per the latest reports, they are still not close to doing the right thing with the Croatian.
What is the latest update on Luka Vuskovic?
Earlier this week it was reported that Brighton had lodged a £30million bid for Vuskovic
And in all honesty, it was one of the most disrespectful bids they could have made this summer.
Not only did Vuskovic rank among the best defenders in Europe last season, but the fact that he is just 19 years old showcases that he still has plenty of improvement to come.
Spurs rejected that bid, unsurprisingly, though new reports state that they may accept a bid in the region of £60m
For context, that is still £10m less than the Seagulls are hoping to receive for Van Hecke.
Vuskovic is almost certainly Tottenham's biggest asset right now, and to sell him for anything below £80m would be a huge error.
Spurs have easiest decision yet with Vuskovic
Regardless of whether Romero stays or goes, Vuskovic should be starting for Tottenham next season.
He has everything that is needed to be a success in North London, and if he isn't given the chance to showcase that after such a good campaign in Germany, then he himself will question his future.
There's a case that he is already a better defender than Van Hecke is and will ever be, and utilising him could save the North Londoners £70m this summer.
