Tottenham Hotspur have been among the most active teams in the summer transfer market.

After a brutal 2025/26 campaign, which also resulted in an embarrassing relegation, steps have been taken to try and avoid a repeat this time around.

Most of the signings thus far have been looking at improving the spine of Tottenham's team.

Jan Paul van Hecke, Sandro Tonali, and Mateus Fernandes have arrived in big-money deals, while Marcos Senesi, Andy Robertson, and Martin Dubravka have joined on free transfers.

Now, though, the focus is on improving the final third of the pitch at Spurs.

Indeed, Roberto De Zerbi has said as much, when addressing the state of play during Spurs' pre-season stop in New Zealand.

Tottenham News has previously looked at the players who could leave Tottenham this summer.

But De Zerbi is obviously still keen to address issues in the squad, and there is clearly a need to add reinforcement up top.

Football London journalist Alasdair Gold detailed what De Zerbi said about the situation.

"Yes, the target now is to complete the attacking positions," the Italian said.

"We want the first level, because we have already important players. But to start a new project we need another couple of important players."

Eli Junior Kroupi

Bournemouth's reluctance to sell, coupled with a price tag that could stretch beyond £100million makes it a difficult deal to sign Eli Junior Kroupi.

And yet, the rumblings that Spurs what to cherry-pick the Brazilian forward, coincidentally from the Cherries, just will not go away.

Kroupi really took to Premier League football, and has plenty of admirers, including Spurs' fierce rivals Arsenal.

The fact he can up top or out on the flanks really adds to the pros in terms of getting a deal done, it just depends if Tottenham will sanction the money needed to get Bournemouth to do business.

Antonio Nusa

Die-hard Football Manager fans might already know about Antonio Nusa, given his status as a wonderkid on the popular manager simulation game.

However, more recently, those Spurs fans who are also England fans will have seen Nusa come up against the Three Lions for Norway at the World Cup.

The 21-year-old has been with Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig for the past two seasons, but is being linked with a summer exit.

Spurs are said to be tracking the versatile winger, though once again Arsenal are reportedly among their competition.

Nusa would certainly give De Zerbi flexibility, creativity, and an eye for goal if Spurs decided to pursue a deal.

Nicolo Tresoldi

Italy-born German youth international Nicolo Tresoldi is another attracting big interest this summer.

The 21-year-old striker scored 23 goals in 58 appearances across all competitions for Club Brugge last season.

As such, Tottenham are among the clubs linked with a move, and you'd image he fits the age and profile in terms of forwards they would be looking at this summer.

Manchester United and Roma are among the clubs reportedly also tracking Tresoldi, so there is big competition for his signature.

But Spurs have proven this summer they are ready to spend big on the right deal.
