Mikey Moore's Tottenham loan move is 'fantastic' thanks to what happened to Jadon Sancho
Mikey Moore's immediate future could lie away from Tottenham.
That is the view of Lilywhites expert John Wenham, who was reacting to the idea of him joining Borussia Dortmund on loan.
Moore enjoyed a fantastic spell at Rangers last season, notching seven goals and four assists in 47 matches with the Ibrox side.
Wenham had previously ruled out a rumour linking Moore with West Ham, labelling it as media nonsense.
While in an ideal world, the 18-year-old would be given a chance to play with Spurs' first team, a loan could be beneficial.
Wenham believes that the eight-time German champions are the best destination.
What has been said about a Mikey Moore loan to Borussia Dortmund?
Wenham claims that Jadon Sancho's rise to stardom with the Signal Iduna Park outfit proves that it would be brilliant for Moore.
The Lilywhite Rose account owner thinks that the potential move, revealed by The Athletic's Seb Stafford-Bloor would work out for both teams.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, he said: "That would be a fantastic loan, I think Dortmund would be a huge step up in terms of the level of the club, the fact that they're playing Champions League football, and are in the Bundesliga, a top five league.
"That'd be huge for his development, and I think the way Tottenham are going this summer, I've previously spoken to you about hoping that Will Lankshear, Moore, Alfie Devine, and others may have got that opportunity.
"Tottenham are just operating at a different level now, and I think a loan where Moore is playing week in, week out would be very good.
"Dortmund obviously have a history of doing very well with English wingers, you look at Jadon Sancho, who was outstanding for Dortmund and has never managed to recreate those levels.
"Jamie Gittens was also at Dortmund, so, I think that would be brilliant for him.
"If that is reliable and there is true interest there, then I think that'd be a fantastic move for all parties."
Why Sancho is the model to follow for Moore if Dortmund move materialises
Sancho notched 53 goals and 67 assists in 158 games for the North Rhine-Westphalia side.
If Moore could replicate anywhere near that level in his time with the Black and Yellow, it would be a resounding success.
He would then surely return to Spurs ready to take over the left-wing spot, which has been open since Son Heung-min's departure.
