Roberto De Zerbi chose to start the Argentinian with fitness concerns over Micky van de Ven emerging after the international break.

The Dutchman played the whole 90 minutes in all four of the Netherlands matches while he was away with his country, so he was given a rest.

John Wenham told Tottenham News that he thought Tosin Adarabioyo may get the nod alongside Van de Ven, due to the fact that Senesi is left-footed and Jan Paul van Hecke's injury issue.

However, the man who was brought in on a free transfer after his Bournemouth contract expired, was brilliant at Old Trafford.

He made the case for why De Zerbi needs to call on him more often with his showing on Saturday evening.
