Tottenham secured a late 1-1 draw against Manchester United on Saturday evening.

Roberto De Zerbi made six changes to his side for the Old Trafford contest on 10 October.

Andy Robertson, Rodrigo Bentancur and Micky van de Ven were some of the high-profile names to drop out.

Spurs were the better side for much of the contest, but their dominance did not pay off.

The likes of Dominic Solanke, Mohammed Kudus and Conor Gallagher missed great chances, and they were made to regret their decision making.

Bryan Mbuemo scored the winner in the 73rd minute to seemingly break Lilywhites hearts, but Solanke headed in an equaliser,

Archie Gray stands out as makeshift right-back in Tottenham draw

Gray has been called on at right-back several times so far this season, and he looked comfortable against United.

He had 57 touches in the contest, with four coming in the opposition box, per FotMob data.

Gray managed to complete 90 per cent of his pass attempts, and made four passes into the final third.

Defensively, he had 14 contributions, with seven recoveries, three tackles, three interceptions and one clearance.

In terms of duels, he won six of 11 on the ground and the only one that he contested in the air, for 55 and 100 per cent success rates in those metrics.

It was a really mature performance and one that would have pleased De Zerbi.

Rodrigo Bentancur should hang his head in shame after Spurs draw

Bentancur was handed a rest after the heavy amount of travel that he has done in the break.

He let De Zerbi down with his showing, as he was sent off for a headbutt on Luke Shaw.

He had just three touches in the contest and made two defensive contributions after replacing Bergvall after 66 minutes.

His dismissal came after 12 minutes on the pitch, and was exactly the opposite of what his side needed.

He failed to step up and make the required impact and clearly couldn't handle the pressure.
