Tottenham agree terms with 'free-kick demon' Armend Muslika

Tottenham Hotspur have agreed contract terms with youth prospect Armend Muslika over a new deal.

The Lilywhites have already done some big work with their academy players this summer, making a profit on several individuals.

Former U21s player Ashley Phillips is set to follow Will Lankshear to Middlesbrough in a £7million deal that could rise to £20m after add-ons, which further highlights the good work that is being done in N17 away from the first team.

Muslika has done enough to convince Spurs officials that he is worthy of a professional contract with the club, and could feature for the U21s even more this season.

He played the majority of his football with the U18s last term, though he did play at the U19s and U21s level on occassions, which proves he is talented beyond his years.

Tottenham view Muslika as one for the future, and it's clear to see why.

Why Armend Muslika has earned new Tottenham deal

Muslika joined Tottenham's academy at the age of 13, and has since risen up the ranks at Hotspur Way.

The 17-year-old has played for Albania's U21s five times, boasting a positive goal return with three for his nation already in UEFA Championship qualification games.

In an update from Tottenham insider Lilywhite Rose on Instagram this Friday, Muslika is said to have signed his first professional contract with the club.

The forward-thinking midfielder is highly rated by Tottenham after he managed to score 15 times in the U18s Premier League last season, also adding four assists to his name.

Muslika has been described as a "free-kick demon" after scoring several times from dead-ball situations.

Roberto De Zerbi has yet to find a real set-piece specialist, as Muslika could be on his way to fast-tracking himself to the first team very soon.

Team-mate who could join Muslika with professional deal soon

It's fair to say that Muslika deserved his first professional contract, as he would have been easily snapped up by any other English side had he left the Lilywhites.

He finished as the top goalscorer for the U18s last season, though he had several other teammates who were also on top form.

One of his younger compatriots, Oliver Slater, was also impressive for someone who is only 16.

The Welsh midfielder turns 17 on 10 August, which will then make him eligible to be able to sign his first professional deal.

Slater was one of the youngest players to have featured for the U18s last season, and it would be no surprise to see him earn a new deal in N17.
