Richarlison makes things go from bad to worse at Tottenham in response to Roberto De Zerbi admission
Richarlison has fired a double social media response at his Tottenham Hotspur boss Roberto De Zerbi.
The Spurs head coach has admitted that Richarlison will not play for the Lilywhites at all after a summer fallout.
Tottenham tried to sell the Brazilian to Everton, and even had an agreement in place, but the player himself rejected a return due to financial reasons.
De Zerbi then decided to leave him out of Tottenham's registered squad, so the striker approached FIFA about having his contract ripped up with just cause.
His argument would have been that Spurs were preventing him from practising his profession, though he got one final chance to get his move away from N17 after the English deadline.
Richarlison turned down a move back to Brazil, but is still somehow bewildered at what De Zerbi has had to say about him.
Richarlison damaging Tottenham mood with latest antics
Tottenham have already had a bad start to the season as it is, and will want to get their first Premier League win as soon as possible.
Whether or not De Zerbi has handled the case with Richarlison well is up for debate, but things are going too far now.
Fabrizio Romano shared quotes from De Zerbi on X, where the Italian stated that Richarlison will not even feature for the club in the Carabao Cup, even if he were available.
The 29-year-old responded to Romano's post on X with a crying emoji.
He also posted a screenshot of De Zerbi's quotes to his Instagram and wrote, "Why?"
Is Richarlison deliberately trying to sabotage De Zerbi, or does he genuinely think he's done nothing wrong?
Either way, the centre-forward has had two chances to leave, so it's his own fault that he now cannot play.
De Zerbi no wiser after latest Richarlison comments
De Zerbi needs to filter out all negative energy in order to help the Lilywhites get back on track in the Premier League.
However, he is still clapping back when asked about Richarlison.
He threw another dig at the forward in his pre-match press conference ahead of a game against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.
He said: "Anyway, we lost to Brentford 3-0 with Richarlison. Maybe you forgot. Just to remind you."
There is now going to be no nice ending with Richarlison at Tottenham, and reports that he is still in first-team training are worrying, to say the least.
