Pedro Porro is a player profile that Tottenham Hotspur would struggle to replace.

The Spaniard provides Roberto De Zerbi with qualities that not many full-backs in the world of football can.

His creativity and ability to drive the ball forward will be key, and as De Zerbi imprints his style more clearly onto this Tottenham side, that will become ever clearer.

At just 26 years old, Porro already has plenty of experience under his belt and is now one of the more senior voices within the locker room.

With 152 appearances for the N17 outfit, Porro has become a favourite among supporters, and there is plenty of games left for him at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium now.

The Spaniard's time in North London is seemingly far from over amid new developments.

Why Pedro Porro is 'untouchable' for Roberto De Zerbi

Porro looks set to extend his time at Tottenham, with reports a new contract has been verbally agreed until 2031, with a further option of an added year.

The Tottenham ace has also earned himself a pay rise ahead of next season.

Porro has been described as "untouchable" for Spurs by Fabrizio Romano and it makes perfect sense as to why that was the case.

Last season, despite Tottenham finding themselves in trouble for much of the campaign, and only securing Premier League survival on the final day of the season, Porro was a bright spark.

Among all Premier League defenders, none completed more key passes than the 26-year-old who ended the campaign with 56.

In contrast, the closest to come to Porro was fellow Spanish international Marc Cucurella, who had 39.

Additionally, only Brighton's Maxim De Cuyper (nine) created more big chances than Porro (eight) throughout 2025-2026.

That level of creativity can be difficult to find elsewhere, and as shown by the margin of difference in key passes, nobody can touch the ability of Porro.

Why Tottenham fans should feel confident about next season

Spurs are already righting the wrongs of last season. The confirmed arrivals of Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi will undoubtedly add more steel to the backline.

The pair will also have key roles to play in the attacking department, as well as the Scotsman's crossing quality and Senesi's eye for a forward pass.

Now, with Porro looking all but confirmed to extend his stay, Spurs are beginning to look like a formidably built side once more.

There are exciting times ahead, and keeping a player of Porro's ability is quite the statement of intent to not only Tottenham fans but to the Premier League as well.
