Redknapp makes shock Pochettino to Tottenham claim after conversation he’s had
Mauricio Pochettino could potentially agree a fairytale return to Tottenham after Daniel Levy sacked Ange Postecoglou.
Spurs fired the ex-Celtic boss despite winning the Europa League, and it hasn’t gone down well with some fans.
Postecoglou’s Premier League record this season was indefensible, though, and now the United States manager may be in the running to be reappointed in N17.

Pochettino an option for Tottenham as Harry Redknapp given suggestion by friend
Harry Redknapp wouldn’t rule out Pochettino’s return to Tottenham after Postecoglou’s sacking.
The ex-Spurs boss revealed that a friend of his called him up to suggest the Argentine manager’s appointment at the North London outfit, something that could potentially be on the cards.
Redknapp wouldn’t mind seeing the 53-year-old head coach lead the Lilywhites next season as Levy searches for a new manager.

Speaking via The Standard (7 June), the Englishman said: “A friend of mine rang me and said, you know, what about Pochettino going back there? It’s possible. I wouldn’t write him off. Naturally, I’d be pleased.”
Thomas Frank and Marco Silva have been linked with the top job at the Lilywhites, and it remains to be seen whether Pochettino will be approached.

Tottenham to consider Pochettino after Postecoglou sacking
Levy and Pochettino were spotted in public a few months back as an image of the two went viral on social media, suggesting the Argentine national’s return to Tottenham.
The USMNT boss may not have won a trophy during his time at the North London outfit, but he built a competitive side during his stint, making it to the 2019 Champions League final.
Spurs regularly finished in the top four during the 53-year-old head coach’s stint, something Postecoglou wasn’t able to do.
While the Australian manager won the Europa League with Tottenham, they finished 17th in the Premier League.
The ex-Celtic boss’ exit has seemed inevitable for a few months now, and the only reason Levy probably stuck by him was to see how far the Lilywhites could go in Europe.
With Champions League football returning to the North London outfit, they arguably need someone like Pochettino to lead them in the upcoming campaign.
The former Southampton manager’s situation will be one to keep an eye on as fans will undoubtedly be excited about his return to Tottenham.
