Tottenham could offer special £5m bonus to seal Omar Marmoush transfer - Insider
Tottenham will not pay the same wages that Omar Marmoush is getting at Manchester City.
That is the view from Spurs expert John Wenham, with the Lilywhites on the verge of a deal for the Egyptian.
Tottenham announced the signing of Savio on Tuesday from the Etihad Stadium, and Marmoush looks set to follow.
The forward has notched 16 goals and six assists in 62 matches in his time in Manchester.
Roberto De Zerbi is desperate for attacking talent after making multiple additions in his backline and midfield.
Wenham has raised an interesting solution that would allow them to get a Marmoush deal over the line.

The 55-cap international is believed to be on £295,000-per-week with Enzo Maresca's side.
Wenham, who owns the popular Lilywhite Rose accounts, believes Spurs will not break their wage structure and will instead offer something else to convince him to sign.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, he said: "This summer we've seen Tottenham break their wage records, we've seen, Micky van der Ven is on well over £200,000-a-week, Gallagher's on £200,000-a-week, so you'd imagine it being that kind of ballpark.
"I know that there's something about Marmoush being on £295,000-a-week at City, I personally don't see Tottenham matching that.
"Maybe they'll just give him a sort of £5million signing-on bonus or something, and his wages will be in line with the other top earners at the club."
Why Marmoush would likely accept lower wage at Tottenham
Ultimately, Marmoush will likely just want to play regularly, and he will get that opportunity in N17, with uncertainty over the forward positions.
He has found himself substituted on in 26 of those 62 matches for the Citizens as he is behind Erling Haaland in the pecking order, and that is unlikely to change anytime soon.
He would likely be willing to accept a wage drop, if it means that he would be the main man under De Zerbi.
It seems like a matter of time before he joins and the creative solution that Wenham has posed, could be the difference between sealing his signature and the move collapsing.
