Tottenham Hotspur could yet get another chance to sign Marcus Rashford from Manchester United.
It was nothing short of a hectic summer for the Lilywhites in the transfer market.
With so many incomings, there was hope that the new campaign would start in positive fashion.
That hasn't happened and has left many questioning some of the deals that have been done.
A move for the England international is one that was linked but never quite happened in the end.

There was plenty of interest surrounding the 28-year-old throughout the summer.
A move away from Old Trafford had looked to be in the pipeline before the deadline passed with him still in situ.
Spurs were certainly eyeing a move, but never made their presence felt after spending hundreds of millions.
That will have largely been due to his asking price which reportedly was upwards of £40million.
Rashford has remained at Man United, but may well be on his way out in the winter if things don't change.
He has featured in both of the Red Devils' first games of the season, but is yet to score or assist.
Should that continue, there may be a feeling that it is time to part ways with the Englishman.
That could play into Tottenham's hands and open the door for a deal in January.
How much could Tottenham pay for Rashford?
Should the new number nine not have the desired impact under Michael Carrick, a move would likely benefit everyone.
He could prove to be exactly what the Lilywhites need, especially if the likes of Mykhaylo Mudryk and Mathys Tel fail to impress on the flank.
A January move would be perfect if Roberto De Zerbi faces problems in that area.
That would especially be the case if a cheap deal could be possible.
It all hinges on what performances he puts in throughout the first half of the campaign at Old Trafford.
