Marcus Rashford's position in Tottenham's all-time highest earners revealed after transfer latest
Tottenham could swoop in to sign Marcus Rashford from Manchester United this summer.
The 28-year-old is currently away at the World Cup with England, but faces an uncertain future in his club career.
He spent last season on loan at Barcelona and certainly caught the eye with some stellar performances.
That wasn't enough for the Catalan giants to sign him permanently as Anthony Gordon has moved to Camp Nou.
Rashford could shortly be on the move away from Old Trafford when he returns after the summer tournament in North America.
Tottenham are said to be interested in the forward and could be prepared to smash a club record to make it happen.
What is the latest on Tottenham’s pursuit of Marcus Rashford?
There has been no shortage of big names linked with a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.
Midfield additions are certainly on the agenda as the likes of Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes have been linked.
Attention could soon turn away from the centre of the park and to attacking areas.
That comes after The Sun reported a link between Spurs and Rashford on Thursday.
The Englishman is set for a wage increase at Old Trafford that will take him to £325,000-per-week with the Red Devils.
The Lilywhites would reportedly be willing to meet those wage demands to seal a deal for the ex-Aston Villa loanee.
That would certainly be a sign of intent from the North London club as they have never spent that much on a new signings wages before.
How Rashford’s wages would compare to Tottenham’s current top earners
His imminent pay increase at Man United would carry him onto a yearly salary in the region of £16.9million.
That is obviously huge and ranks among the highest in the entire Premier League.
Spurs haven't been known for paying those sorts of fees, with Harry Kane reportedly their highest ever earner at around £200,000, although there have been some suggestions of £300,000-per-week.
Cristian Romero and Xavi Simons are seemingly the highest earners in North London right now on £195,000.
The latter's signing from RB Leipzig represented a change in transfer policy in N17 and that could be set to follow into the current window.
Rashford could come in and totally eclipse all those on £325,000 and become a history-making signing for the Lilywhites.
