Where Guglielmo Vicario's agent is as Tottenham exit 'advancing'
Guglielmo Vicario may not be a Tottenham Hotspur player for much longer.
The 29-year-old Italian goalkeeper hasn't played a single minute for Tottenham in pre-season.
As a result, it's clear he's not in Roberto De Zerbi's thinking as Spurs' starting shot-stopper.
Having spent his entire career in Italian football prior to joining Spurs, it's been widely reported Vicario could return home this summer.
Serie A giants Juventus have been one of the clubs most strongly linked with his signature in recent weeks.
And now, Vicario's camp appear to be doing all they can to accelerate a move there before the window shuts.
How Guglielmo Vicario and Juventus feel about Tottenham transfer
With the arrival of Martin Dubravka pushing Vicario down to Tottenham's third choice, his N17 fate has been sealed.
For Spurs and the player, it's now about finding the best and fastest solution as we head into the final weeks of the window.
That appears to be Juventus, and efforts are being made to speed up this process as we speak.
Gianluca Di Marzio reported late on Sunday evening that Juve are "serious" about getting a deal done for Vicario.
The Italian journalist claims that Vicario's agent is already in Turin right now, as they also represent Bologna defender Jhon Lucumi.
He's also finalising a move to Juventus, and so whilst working on that deal, Vicario's camp are also trying to "advance negotiations" for his move too.
Di Marzio ends his report by claiming that both parties are trying to reach a total agreement ASAP.
So, is the aforementioned Dubravka sure to be a better backup goalkeeper for Tottenham than Vicario?
How Vicario and Dubravka's 2025-26 stats compare
Dubravka, 37, is set to provide Tottenham with a vastly experienced deputy to Antonin Kinsky this season.
Last season saw the 59-cap Slovakian international start 35 Premier League games for Burnley, who, of course, were relegated.
As per FotMob, no Premier League goalkeeper in 2025-26 made more saves than Dubravka's 127 though.
Compared to Vicario, Dubravka registered a higher save percentage (62 to 64 per cent) and had a better goals prevented number (-5.22 to -3.31).
In addition to that, they both made two errors leading to goals, whilst Dubravka also played 252 accurate long balls to Vicario's 157.
So, given Dubravka posted these numbers in a relegated Burnley side, the evidence is there to suggest he's a stronger backup option than Vicario.
