Lucas Bergvall has faced an uncertain Tottenham Hotspur future during the summer transfer window.

At one stage earlier in the window, it looked as though the Sweden international would likely be heading for the exit door.

Premier League rivals Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United were both heavily linked with making a move for the 20-year-old.

However, Roberto De Zerbi has utilised Bergvall heavily during pre-season, and has spoken of his desire for him to stay put.

There have been reports that Newcastle are still negotiating to sign Bergvall earlier this week.

But new behind-the-scenes-footage has dropped quite a large hint on Spurs' intentions as it pertains to Bergvall before the end of the transfer window.

What footage has emerged of Lucas Bergvall at Tottenham?

Tottenham had pulled off what many considered to be a coup to sign a then prodigious teenager in the form of Bergvall in February 2024.

LaLiga giants Barcelona were among the clubs linked to Bergvall, who made the switch from Djurgarden.

There have been reports that Bergvall has an appreciation for the amount of game time he has been afforded by De Zerbi in pre-season.

Indeed, new behind-the-scenes footage, posted by X user SpursOTM, suggests Bergvall is going nowhere.

Clubs around the country are still doing their pre-season material ahead of the new campaign.

And Bergvall could be seen doing his duties for Tottenham's media day, and being included in the official video.

It certainly hints that Bergvall will be remaining at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but others look likely to depart.

Who could leave Tottenham this transfer window?

Tottenham's transfer window started in ambitious fashion with £237million spent to sign Jan Paul van Hecke, Sandro Tonali, and Mateus Fernandes.

Since then, it has been more about recouping cash where possible, with the likes of Luka Vuskovic, Will Lankshear, and Manor Solomon departing.

More players could leave before Tottenham sign the attacking players that De Zerbi is so keen to bring in the door, too.

Captain Cristian Romero is on the cusp of signing for Atletico Madrid, in a sale that has been anticipated for some time.

England defender Djed Spence is expected to leave as well, with Inter Milan leading the race for his signature.

Guglielmo Vicario is also expected to return to Serie A, with both Juventus and Napoli having been linked to his signature.
