Tottenham Hotspur have every reason to pursue a deal for Bournemouth striker Eli Junior Kroupi this summer.

After finding the back of the net 13 times in the 2025-26 campaign, the French youngster broke the record for the most goals scored by a teenager in their debut Premier League season, which previously stood at 12.

The centre-forward, who turned 20 in June, could now be presented with an opportunity to move to North London soon.

Kroupi pipped Robbie Fowler and Robbie Keane to the record and it's clear to see why Spurs and Roberto De Zerbi want him.

The Lilywhites have struggled to find a successor to Harry Kane since the England international left for Bayern Munich.

Richarlison and Dominic Solanke have failed to score consistently at Tottenham and their persistent fitness issues have been frustrating for fans.

Dominic Solanke vs Eli Junior Kroupi in 2025-26 campaign

Solanke missed a large chunk of the season due to injury, ending up making 15 Premier League appearances.

As per Sofascore, the 28-year-old Englishman created one big chance, missed three big opportunities and had a goal conversion rate of 15 per cent.

Comparatively, the Bournemouth striker also created three big chances, missed three big opportunities, but had a goal conversion rate of 25 per cent.

While Solanke has recorded better dribbling statistics, averaging 0.9 per game compared to Kroupi's 0.5, and is clearly more dominant in the air, in terms of pure goalscoring metrics, the French striker has the clear edge.

Tottenham ready to shatter transfer records

Tottenham will have to pay £80million to sign Kroupi as they look to strengthen their squad after back-to-back relegation battles.

Having spent significant sums to sign Jan Paul van Hecke and Mateus Fernandes, and reaching an agreement for Sandro Tonali, Spurs will take their summer spending to £237m.

The most the North London outfit have spent in a single season in the past was £235.8m in the 2023-24 campaign.

De Zerbi will surely be desperate for a new number nine ahead of next season, and with multiple attacking additions on the cards, it could be a historic summer in N17.
