Tottenham 'promise' professional contract for Kwasi Senyah as Wolves agreement advances
Tottenham look set to offer Wolves youngster Kwasi Senyah a professional contract.
Spurs are advancing in talks with the 16-year-old, as they look to bolster their youth ranks.
Lilywhites fans have seen the likes of George Jobling, Oliver Boast and Conall Glancy signed for the academy recently.
Tottenham have spent a huge amount on their first-team, but they have also made sure to not neglect the youth teams.
Senyah would be the latest promising addition to their squad, with hopes of reaching the senior side.
Now, Spurs' plans for the teenager have been revealed.
What are Tottenham's plans for Kwasi Senyah as deal advances?
Tottenham insider Paul O'Keefe revealed on Tuesday that Roberto De Zerbi's side are advancing in their pursuit of the youngster.
Now, John Wenham has exclusively told Tottenham News that he will have been promised that he will be offered terms when he turns 17.
He said: “Kwasi Senyah is an England Under-16 international midfielder who plays in same England group as our Mikel Jack (GK), Jobling (RB/LB) and Toju Wellspring (CM).
“Would be another good and welcomed addition for the academy, he would go into next years scholarship intake likely with the promise of a professional contract when turning 17.
“To get into strong England U16 group have to be of high level and already made Wolves U18 and U21 debuts.
“He would be a good signing for the future”
Why Tottenham need to ensure there is a pathway for Senyah and others
Tottenham need to ensure that there is a pathway to the senior side under De Zerbi.
There have not been many prospects to make the jump to the first-team in recent years, which is a huge shame.
Mikey Moore is the most prominent example of a breakthrough, as he played 19 times under Ange Postecoglou in the 2024-25 campaign, but he was shipped out to Rangers on loan last time around.
There needs to be a way to the likes of Senyah and other young signings to make their impression and work their way into the pecking order, otherwise it is pointless striking deals to bring them in.
It is all well and good signing talents, but if they never make it to the highest level, then there is little benefit to the club as a whole.
