Tottenham insider accuses Everton of ‘absolute disaster’ over Richarlison transfer saga
Everton should be embarrassed about not signing Richarlison from Tottenham.
That is the view of Spurs expert John Wenham, after the proposed deal broke down.
The Lilywhites had an agreement in principle to sell the Brazilian forward to their Premier League rivals.
Roberto De Zerbi's side had their own agreement with the Blues to sign Iliman Ndiaye, but he ended up at Manchester City.
Richarlison stayed at Hotspur Way, and it looks increasingly difficult for the 29-year-old to secure an exit.
He has been left in limbo after a deadline-day return to Merseyside did not happen, and the responsible party has now been shared.

Wenham, who owns the popular Lilywhite Rose account, has blamed the player for wanting too much money.
However, he also had choice words for David Moyes' side after they failed to secure an alternative.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, he said: "They've had an absolute disaster and their behaviour around the Richarlison thing has really come back to land egg on their face because he would have been good for them.
"He was looking for more money, he was looking for some sort of payoff from Tottenham, so that's why he didn't end up going.
"Then they pressed ahead with Folarin Balogun and then they mucked him around and he didn't sign, so Everton have just been left with egg on their face and no striker.
"If Thierno Barry gets any sort of injury, they're in big, big trouble."

If there any tensions between the two sides after the two deals did not happen, then they will be settled on the pitch next Saturday.
The L3 outfit travel to North London on the next Premier League match week, although Richarlison will not be involved.
He has not been registered for Spurs' squad for the top-flight this season, so he can not be named in the starting line-up or on the bench for the contest.
A return to Everton would have been a good move for all parties, especially given the situation that Moyes' side now find themselves in, with just Thierno Barry as a number nine option.
