Tottenham Hotspur could be moving closer to a headline deal for Savinho at Manchester City.

The Lilywhites have long been after a winger as they look to improve their forward options.

Mohammed Kudus is set to return from a long-term absence, while Dejan Kulusevski's future remains up in the air.

That has prompted links to various wide options as the summer window continues.

The Brazilian has been a target for many weeks and months despite a deal not being done at this stage.

Savinho may have now pointed towards a deal being possible in pre-season, all while being away with City.

How has Savinho responded to Tottenham links?

The Lilywhites continued their pre-season preparations with a clash against Chelsea in Sydney, as covered by Tottenham News.

Roberto De Zerbi's side secured a 2-1 win, even after Kevin Danso was sent off.

Richarlison netted a 92nd minute winner, all while Manchester City faced Inter Milan in Hong Kong.

The two played out a 1-1 draw, with Savinho featuring for 78 minutes against the Italian giants.

A Spurs fan was clearly in attendance next to the tunnel as they spotted the 22-year-old coming off the pitch.

The supporter shouted, "Savinho, come to Spurs."

The Man City attacker simply responded with a thumbs up as the crowd laughed.

It is totally unclear whether he actually understood what was being said, but he replied nonetheless.

'Savinho's move to Tottenham is inevitable after what I've repeatedly read'

How much could Tottenham pay for Savinho?

The 2004-born talent certainly hasn't had the greatest time since moving to the Etihad in 2024.

He has scored just seven goals in two seasons compared to the 11 he bagged in his one campaign with Girona in La Liga.

That has seen him linked with an exit, although Man City seemingly want £60million for his signature.

A report from The Times in late July said that Savinho wants to leave the Citizens while Spurs still appreciate his qualities.

That could see the Lilywhites fork out yet another sizable fee, especially now he had subtly pointed towards a Tottenham switch.
