Roberto De Zerbi told to sell Richarlison immediately - 'Tottenham have to get him out'
Tottenham Hotspur have been told to sell Richarlison immediately.
The Brazilian was called upon more than expected last season, with injuries ravaging Hotspur Way again.
Roberto De Zerbi was forced to use Richarlison, who did score some important goals, with Dominic Solanke hit by issues again.
With Xavi Simons and Mohammed Kudus also ruled out long-term, it was a sorry season once again, surviving on the final day.
Spurs have used that as a final warning though, with De Zerbi already signing Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi and Jan Paul van Hecke.
Unfortunately for Richarlison, sales may be next in mind.
Tottenham delayed Richarlison sale too long
After several years at Hotspur Way, it could be the perfect time to go their separate ways.
Bryan King believes time is over for Richarlison in North London, who simply isn't good enough to lead the line anymore.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, the ex-Spurs scout admitted that a possible exit is overdue by at least a year.
"I've got no love for Richarlison," King said.
"He wasn't good enough to go to the World Cup and I think Ancelotti has realised what he's like.
"Tottenham have to get him out, I would have had him gone last summer.
"He doesn't look right at Tottenham and if they want to bring in a striker of quality, they have to get rid.
"They aren't going to get their money back on him, that's for sure."
Will Tottenham sign a new striker?
Intriguingly, there haven't been many links as of yet.
After clearly concentrating on improving his defence, De Zerbi has switched his attention to wingers.
So, does that mean Richarlison could stay to rotate with Solanke? That wouldn't be good enough at all.
Savinho has been destined for a move to North London for months now, but no progression appears to be happening with Manchester City.
More recently, the I Paper have even linked Spurs with a move for Marcus Rashford after his loan at Barcelona.
All it proves so far is that a new striker isn't on the agenda yet.
Sandro Tonali of Newcastle is the prime target, and with another fee upwards of £75million needed for him, it's hard to see where money for another striker is coming from.
With all of that, Richarlison may just yet live to see another day at Tottenham.
