Richarlison’s days at Tottenham could be numbered as asking price revealed
Tottenham Hotspur could be set to cash in on Richarlison this summer.
The 29-year-old is entering the final year of his contract in N17, having joined from Everton all the way back in 2022.
A player who as somewhat flattered to deceive during his time in North London, the Brazilian international has consistently blown hot and cold for the Lilywhites.
Richarlison has made 133 competitive appearances for Tottenham, scoring 32 goals with 12 of those coming in all competitions last season.
Spurs chiefs are putting their money where their mouth is and backing Roberto De Zerbi in the transfer market this summer.
But, as one Italian puts his own stamp on his squad, one Serie A giant could have their eyes on Spurs' divisive striker to he help another Italian coach do the same.
Roberto De Zerbi's stance on Richarlison exit revealed
Tottenham News has recently heard from ex-Spurs scout Bryan King who has urged Tottenham to sell Richarlison this summer.
As it so happens, King may now be about to get his wish, as per reports coming out of Italy on Saturday.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, they've named Richarlison as a player to keep an eye on regarding Juventus potentially making a surprise move for.
They claim that the striker is looking for a new opportunity to revitalise his career, whilst he also matches the profile of the centre-forward Juve boss Luciano Spalletti wants.
The report also states that De Zerbi views Richarlison as "expendable", seemingly in large part down to his aforementioned contract status.
It's claimed that Richarlison has already received strong offers from Turkey this summer, but is an admirer of Juventus, but the Turin-based outfit are also in for ex-Spurs loanee Randal Kolo Muani, and that could dampen his chances of a move there.
So, how much might Tottenham be able to fetch for Richarlison this summer? Well, according to a different report from Italy, more than some Spurs fans may have expected.
Tottenham could get more than £20million for Richarlison
With now less than 12 months to run on his contract, if Tottenham want to bank a sizeable fee for Richarlison, this summer likely presents their last opportunity to do so.
However, coming off the back of scoring 11 goals in 32 Premier League games last season isn't a return to particularly write home about, and probably hasn't helped to inflate his transfer value by much.
Despite that, a report from Calciomercato has claimed that Tottenham value Richarlison at around €25m euros (£21.2m).
It remains to be seen whether that's a price Juventus would be prepared to pay, but if not, it would seem as though Spurs might be willing to come down from there slightly in order to get him off their wage bill.
Should Tottenham receive an offer north of £20m for Richarlison though, then they should be more than happy to commission his exit.
That's a very solid amount of money for a 29-year-old, out-of-contract striker who in Tottenham colours at least, has never been able to score more than 11 Premier League goals in a single season.
