Marcus Rashford would only agree Tottenham transfer for one reason - Insider

Tottenham Hotspur are now looking at attacking reinforcements for Roberto De Zerbi, with Marcus Rashford a surprise option.

Spurs have been busy in the transfer window, with Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi and Jan Paul van Hecke already signed.

Now, all eyes are on midfield and the final third, with Rashford becoming a possible target.

After spending last season on loan at Barcelona, a permanent option wasn't taken at the Nou Camp, opening the door for rivals.

It appears that Rashford has no future at Manchester United, but Spurs aren't exactly in a power position after another poor Premier League season.

They do have money on their side though, and that makes anything possible in the transfer market.

How much does Marcus Rashford earn at Man United?

To nobodies surprise, it's a lot of money.

The Athletic reports that the England international is on more than £325,000-a-week at Old Trafford.

Bryan King believes that Rashford simply has better options on the table, and money is the only thing that could tempt him to North London.

Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, the ex-Spurs scout admitted there aren't many reasons why Rashford would make the move, with Champions League on offer elsewhere.

"I think he would be a better signing than what they've got," King said.

"If he goes back to Barcelona he gets Champions League and the same with Manchester United.

"If he wants to get out of Man United, I'm surprised Barcelona haven't signed him permanently.

"The only reason he would go to Tottenham at this stage is for the money."

Who is highest earner at Tottenham?

That is currently Xavi Simons and Cristian Romero, as per Football Insider.

They are said to be on £195,000-a-week at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, so Rashford is miles ahead of them.

Could the Lewis family stretch that far? We have seen a more trigger-happy approach in the market already so far, so it wouldn't be a massive surprise.

Either way, if you want to sign the best and biggest names, you have to throw your money around, that is the sad reality of football now.

Rashford will hope to return from North America as a World Cup winner with England, and could that be followed by a move to Tottenham?

Only time will tell.
