Lucas Bergvall could be one of several young stars moved on by Tottenham Hotspur in the coming months.

And that is despite the youngsters arguably being the only bright spark in an otherwise dismal campaign last time out.

Bergvall and Archie Gray, in particular, are two of the players who emerged from games with credit more often than not, despite the results very rarely going their way.

However, since the arrival of Roberto De Zerbi, gametime has become limited for the duo, which has, in turn, cast doubts over their future

Bergvall's departure seems the more likely of the two, after it was reported that the Swede has informed the North Londoners of his desire to move on.

And with Spurs' valuation of the midfielder now set, it begs a very important question.

Are Tottenham underselling their talent?

In all honesty, yes, and it is an issue that very few people are talking about.

A report from Matt Verri via X states that Tottenham would want a fee in the region of £45million to sell Bergvall, which is only £10m more than they paid to sign Conor Gallagher last season.

For a player of his talent, but more importantly, his potential, Spurs should be holding out for a lot more than that.

But it's a similar scenario for Luka Vuskovic, who, despite being one of the best centre-backs in Europe last season, could leave Spurs for a similar fee to that of Bergvall.

There are many issues that still need addressing at Tottenham, but very few of them will be able to be fixed if this continues.

Bergvall exit would signal Tottenham shift

De Zerbi is certainly being backed this summer, with his side having already wrapped up a big-money deal for Jean Paul van Hecke and having made a bid for Sandro Tonali.

Those two alone would set Spurs back over £150m.

However, it's clear that De Zerbi wants more experience in his squad, hence the potential exits.

For the short term, it may work, but for the long term, it could cause some issues down the line.
