Vinai Venkatesham offers immediate olive branch to Tottenham fans as Savinho update drops
Vinai Venkatesham has seemingly offered Tottenham Hotspur fans hope ahead of the summer, with interest in Manchester City winger Savinho resurfacing.
After a dismal season, Spurs finally secured their spot in the Premier League on Sunday with a 1-0 win against Everton.
As a result, London rivals West Ham were relegated to the Championship, offering the Lilywhites the chance to reset and rebuild over the summer.
For two years in a row, the North Londoners have finished 17th in the top flight, and are desperate to avoid a similar scenario ever again.
Now under the guidance of Roberto De Zerbi, Tottenham are looking to climb the standings, with the early transfer links outlining the urgency of this task.

Tottenham to revisit links with Manchester City winger Savinho
Throughout last summer, Spurs continued to chase Savinho, who had fallen down the pecking order under Pep Guardiola.
That has been the case once again this season, with his stature among the squad further slipping following the January arrival of Antoine Semenyo.

| Appearances (starts) | 24 (7) |
| Minutes played | 821 |
| Goals | 1 |
| Assists | 1 |
Racking up just 821 minutes this season, the Brazilian has had a hard time at the Etihad – potentially giving him a reason for a move, having scored once and laid on eight assists across 1,770 minutes just a year ago.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham have reactivated talks to sign the wideman after a deal collapsed last summer, with City eventually deciding to keep hold of the 22-year-old.
Savinho is reportedly open to the move, while Newcastle United are also monitoring the situation.
For Spurs, though, they will be looking to get deals done early, bolstering De Zerbi’s squad before what is set to be a crucial pre-season period.
Tottenham transfer direction outlined already
After such a dreadful season, it is imperative that Tottenham move heaven and earth to ensure that the struggles remain a thing of the past.
And after De Zerbi’s comments on recruitment following the Everton win, it is clear that work is being put in early to address the issues at hand.
This season, the Lilywhites have had to cope without Mohammed Kudus, Wilson Odobert and Dejan Kulusevski – leaving De Zerbi with no choice but to deploy Randal Kolo Muani and Mathys Tel on the flanks.
With Savinho potentially coming in, it is fantastic to see that such a key issue could be addressed before the summer itself has even started.

After some rather haphazard recruitment in recent years, all fans want to see is the early intent, without Spurs left scrambling in the final days of the window.
After burning through both Thomas Frank and Igor Tudor, De Zerbi worked well with a threadbare squad to secure survival, for that he deserves backing.
With news of incomings just two days after the end of the term, the intent is seemingly there, possibly allowing the Italian to work with a mostly complete squad over pre-season, while key stars return to the pitch after injury struggles.
