Roberto De Zerbi zones in on Tottenham job as odds slashed after latest development
Roberto De Zerbi’s chances of managing Tottenham Hotspur have increased on the back of Wednesday’s calamitous loss to Atletico Madrid.
De Zerbi has consistently been linked with Tottenham in recent years, most notably in the summer when Ange Postecoglou was dismissed.
Thomas Frank’s sacking in February also brought speculation around the Italian manager’s future, but he was uninterested in joining Spurs at that point.
Despite being dismissed by French side Marseille in 2026, the 46-year-old is thought of as an ideal candidate, especially given Igor Tudor’s struggles.
And thankfully for the fans, De Zerbi’s potential move to Tottenham now looks increasingly more likely.

Roberto De Zerbi now more likely to replace Igor Tudor
Tudor has overseen four losses since his arrival, with Tottenham conceding 14 goals and only scoring five in that period.
Tudor is already close to being sacked, as it’s clear that he hasn’t formed a close bond with any of his players.
With Tottenham on the brink of Premier League relegation and Champions League elimination, they desperately need a new head coach before Sunday’s match against Liverpool.

It was initially thought that De Zerbi wanted a break from management after his spell with Marseille, but that may no longer be the case.
The betting market on Spurs appointing a new manager has fluctuated in the last few days, and De Zerbi is second on the list of names most likely to replace Tudor, with his odds increasing after their 5-2 defeat to Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.
According to one bookmaker, Mauricio Pochettino is the current 13/8 favourite, with the Italian closely behind him at shortening 3/1 odds.

Robbie Keane is now 13/2, Sean Dyche is 8/1 and both Marco Rose and Scott Parker are 12/1 for the job.
De Zerbi’s man-to-man pressing system is something that he is well known for, and Spurs could do with a head coach who plays an aggressive style of football as they look to stay in the Premier League.
Tottenham can’t afford to waste time on De Zerbi
The Italian has a strong amount of experience and a positive record on his CV, which makes him a good fit for the job.
De Zerbi is already a proven success in the Premier League after securing European football for Brighton in 2022-23.
He is known as one of the most intense coaches in Europe, and he could be the perfect man to help Spurs stay in the Premier League.

With only nine league games left to play, ENIC simply can’t afford for results to get even worse under Tudor, and change is needed now.
De Zerbi could certainly rejuvenate the players if he were appointed, and it’s up to Tottenham’s board to make the right choice and save the club from relegation.
