Ange Postecoglou and recently sacked Tottenham boss in running for Burnley job
Ange Postecoglou is one of several names in the running for the Burnley job, less than a year on from his Tottenham Hotspur exit.
Given just how dreadful Spurs were in the Premier League under Postecoglou, many highlighted him as the problem, and he was sacked soon after.
That was despite winning the Europa League, which is something that every Tottenham supporter would snap their hands off for again in the near future.
The Australian again failed to gain trust from supporters throughout his stint at Nottingham Forest, which led to his sacking just months later.
However, despite his recent failures, Postecoglou could still return to English football, and he is one of many candidates for the Burnley job.

Scott Parker could be replaced by Ange Postecoglou
Scott Parker’s failure to keep Burnley in the Premier League led to his exit this week, with the Clarets seeking an immediate return to the Premier League.
And among the list of managers in the running for the job is Postecoglou, albeit he features far down it in terms of likelihood.

Via major bookmakers, the former Tottenham boss is priced at 33/1 to take over at Turf Moor.
Steven Gerrard is the favourite with odds of 1/2, though Thomas Frank also features among the candidates, with odds of 10/1.

Frank was sacked at Tottenham back in February, but whether he would be keen on dropping into the Championship seems unlikely.
Would a Championship job be the best move for Postecoglou?
Postecoglou has a reputation in the Premier League, and not a good one.
For him to take another job in the top flight would lead to even more scrutiny, which never ends well, regardless of which club he ended up at.
However, a move to Burnley may be what he needs to rebuild his reputation in English football, without the constant pressure from the media.
As of now, it’s unlikely he would be considered for the job, but it may be a name that pops up at Turf Moor.
