Tottenham the happiest team in Premier League after Mohamed Salah exit news at Liverpool
Tottenham Hotspur fans will be rejoicing in the news that Mohamed Salah will leave Liverpool at the end of the season.
After nine years, 435 appearances and 255 goals for the Reds, Salah has announced this will be his last season at Anfield.
Liverpool’s third-highest scorer of all time will undoubtedly leave as one of their greatest players, having won the Premier League twice and the Champions League once.
He has tormented Premier League defences for the best part of a decade, and the rest of the league will be breathing a sigh of relief that they don’t have to deal with him anymore.
And, given Salah’s phenomenal record against Tottenham, Spurs supporters will be glad to see the back of him in England.

Mohamed Salah’s record vs Tottenham is phenomenal
Since the Egyptian signed for Liverpool in 2017, no player has more Premier League goals (189) or assists (92).
Although Salah is having his poorest season in England, his tally of 11 goal involvements is still incredibly impressive.
In fact, the 33-year-old has scored 16 goals in his career against Spurs in all competitions, which is the joint-most he has managed against any single team.
| Team | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
| Tottenham | 25 | 16 | 5 |
| Man United | 18 | 16 | 6 |
| Man CIty | 25 | 13 | 8 |
| West Ham | 19 | 13 | 7 |
Although he didn’t make an impact in the two league fixtures against Tottenham this season, the Egyptian has been electric in past years.
Last campaign, Salah was incredible against Tottenham, registering seven goal contributions in four appearances across all competitions.
His departure will be a huge blow for Arne Slot’s side, but the Lilywhites will rejoice in the breaking news.

No other team has suffered as much damage against Salah as Spurs, and the legend’s legacy in this fixture will always be remembered by Liverpool supporters.
How Tottenham could do with their own Salah right now
Spurs could do with his magic in the final third, and given that most of their wingers are injured, the onus is on Mathys Tel.
After spending the second half of the 2024-25 campaign in N17 on loan from Bayern Munich, Tel joined Tottenham permanently for £30million in the summer, becoming Thomas Frank’s first signing.
However, he has failed to live up to expectations, and his latest display against Liverpool earlier in March was far from impressive.

According to Sofascore, the 20-year-old didn’t take a single shot and registered a pass accuracy of 54 per cent before being taken off in the 75th minute at Anfield.
In the Premier League this season, Tel has only had 27 shots and created 20 chances, and although he has been a bright spark at times, he isn’t a reliable source of goals.
