Kevin Danso sends message to Tottenham supporters after Atletico Madrid win
Kevin Danso shared a message of unity for Tottenham Hotspur supporters after their Champions League elimination on Wednesday night.
Danso was brought on as a late substitute in Spurs’ 3-2 victory against Atletico Madrid, which wasn’t enough to undo the damage of their 5-2 thrashing in the first leg in Spain.
But Igor Tudor’s side were applauded off the pitch at the final whistle, having delivered a second consecutive performance full of fight and brought the crowd to their feet.
Spurs will now look to build on this restored togetherness as they look to stay in the Premier League, with just one point separating them from the bottom three.
With a crucial six-pointer against Nottingham Forest at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next up on Sunday, Danso delivered an impassioned rallying cry on social media.

What did Kevin Danso post on social media?
Taking to Instagram, THFC Flags, a supporter-led group responsible for displays at Spurs home matches, declared that matchgoers were backing their players to the hilt.
This was despite Tottenham creating unwanted history, alongside a host of their Premier League rivals, after bowing out of the Champions League 7-5 on aggregate.

“For every remaining minute of the season, we are right behind you,” they wrote in a statement. “We’ll be there for every step and be your 12th man throughout. You will hear us.”
Danso endorsed the message by sharing the post in his Instagram story, adding the short message “All together, always” with a white heart emoji.
Spurs youngster James Rowswell, who was handed his competitive first-team debut in the 1-1 draw with Liverpool last weekend, also responded with the same symbol.
The pledge from THFC Flags echoed the sentiment of many Tottenham supporters, who have been won over by gut-busting performances in the past couple of games.

Danso has embodied this change in attitude both on and off the pitch, and his latest gesture on social media will help to rally the troops ahead of the showdown against Forest.
Danso can save Tottenham from relegation
Nobody would have expected the defender to play such a prominent role this season, and that includes Danso. However, he has stepped up to the plate and showcased his quality.
Yes, he has made mistakes, but he has been a much cooler and more considered head than Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, both of whom have let themselves down too often.

Danso has made 16 Premier League appearances so far, with the vast majority coming during Romero’s absence, and he is perfectly suited for the grit needed in this dogfight.
Spurs are balancing on a precipice – and defeat against Forest could banish them to the bottom three – but the renewed unity from both players and supporters bodes very well.
