Antonin Kinsky nightmare, Micky van de Ven should be ashamed – Tottenham player ratings vs Atletico Madrid
Igor Tudor would be lucky to remain Tottenham Hotspur manager after losing 5-2 to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Spurs travelled to the Riyadh Air Metropolitano Stadium on 10 March in the last-16 of the competition as they looked to get over their Premier League struggles, but put on another embarrassing show.
The North London outfit were immediately punished after Antonin Kinsky’s slip, with Marcos Llorente opening the scoring in the sixth minute, and another mistake from the Czechia goalkeeper minutes later saw him get hooked off.
Diego Simeone got the better of Igor Tudor, and while Pedro Porro and Dominic Solanke have given the visitors some lifeline going into the second leg, Los Colchoneros had a comfortable evening in the end.

Antonin Kinsky has horrible Champions League debut vs Atletico Madrid
Kinsky made his Champions League proper debut against Atletico in what was a surprising change from Tudor, with Guglielmo Vicario dropped to the bench.
The 22-year-old had a nightmare start to the game as he gifted the ball to Los Colchoneros, with Llorente punishing the error.
Micky van de Ven then slipped, with Griezmann finding the back of the net in the 14th minute, and the Czechia goalkeeper had another howler just seconds later, misjudging the ball and allowing Julian Alvarez to score.
While bringing on Vicario didn’t stop the LaLiga club from scoring, the Italian did pull off a decent save before the fourth goal.
One must now wonder what the future holds for Kinsky and Tudor after a damaging defeat in Spain for the North London outfit.
Micky van de Ven has another disasterclass in Madrid
Micky van de Ven was sent off in the defeat to Crystal Palace in the Premier League and was arguably lucky to remain on the pitch after his challenge on David Hancko in the first half.
The Dutch defender was at fault for Atletico’s second goal, slipping at an inopportune moment as Antoine Griezmann slipped the ball past Kinsky.
Van de Ven should be ashamed of his recent performances for the North London outfit, as fans look towards him to provide leadership and stability in the backline.
Tudor may be packing his bags at Spurs after the defeat, but the 24-year-old centre-back could also potentially be in his final months in N17, with his head seemingly elsewhere.
