Vinai Venkatesham called out already after ‘bizarre’ new Tottenham statement
Vinai Venkatesham has not enjoyed his first season in a boardroom role with Tottenham Hotspur.
The chief executive presided over a disastrous campaign that saw Spurs finish in 17th, just two points away from relegation.
The executive has now called for a complete reset and was particularly critical of Igor Tudor’s appointment as interim manager.
Tudor was in charge for just seven matches in North London after the Lilywhites decided to part ways with Thomas Frank.
Tottenham fans will be hoping that his words turn into positive actions; otherwise, exit calls will only increase.

Venkatesham blasted after Tottenham statement
John Wenham believes that Venkatesham should lose his job at Tottenham, and took exception with him placing the blame on Tudor in the statement, accusing him of shifting responsibility.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, he said: “We’ve had these statements, the latest one from Vinai Venkatesham.
“I’m sorry, he doesn’t take any responsibility for the disaster of hiring Thomas Frank, saying that he interviewed 30 people and he was the best candidate.
“He just sort of blames Tudor, without realising that Tudor only actually managed us for seven games, I think five of which were in the league.

“Actually, Tudor was absolutely appalled by the fitness and condition levels of the players and had to organise a mini pre-season within the actual season, that’s not normal.
“No blame for his choice of picking Thomas Frank, again, just saying what a great human he is and all this absolute LinkedIn drivel that means nothing to football fans, it’s just poor. I’m sorry.
“People are already saying, he said this, so let’s give him another chance, he’s been underwhelming, he and Johan Lange should be first out the door.
“He’s sort of shifting accountability from himself, trying to blame Tudor again, which I just find bizarre, because he only had seven games with Tudor, five of which were in the league, and he was absolutely appalled by the whole level of the squad.”
What is Venkatesham’s status right now?
Venkatesham must be on thin ice with the Lilywhites already.

If the results at the start of the new season do not go the right way, then he should be dismissed.
It looks like he will be safe for the summer, but after that, his position should come under scrutiny if nothing changes.
