Rodrigo Bentancur ‘finished’ at Tottenham after transfer development
Rodrigo Bentancur has been in and out of the Tottenham team this campaign.
The Lilywhites have had plenty of injury and suspension concerns to deal with throughout the season and have struggled as a result.
Ange Postecoglou has faced his fair share of critics as a result, but things could finally be looking up ahead of the end of the campaign.
With that being said, the Australian could look to make changes in the summer and Bentancur could prove to be on the chopping block.

Tottenham could seek out Bentancur replacement
Spurs are in need of a change during the upcoming transfer window given they currently sit 13th in the Premier League with 11 games to go.
This could see multiple new signings come in, following on from the winter where Kevin Danso, Antonin Kinsky and Mathys Tel all came in.
With that being said, if new players are going to join the squad down Hotspur Way, there will have to be some sales to cover the outlay.
This could see Bentancur utilised as a makeweight in N17 to allow a new midfield option to come in with Johnny Cardoso, a seemingly obvious option.
The Lilywhites have a non-mandatory purchase option worth £20.8 million for the Real Betis midfielder and could activate that clause in the summer.
If this is going to happen, it has to be completed before 10 July, and it appears that a deal is now “likely” which will be music to fans’ ears [TBR Football].
If a move is going to go through for the American talent, Bentancur could get his bags packed ahead of a move out of the capital.

Bentancur should prepare for Tottenham exit if Cardoso signs
The Uruguay international has had mixed reviews while on the pitch this campaign and that has resulted in him making just 14 Premier League starts.
This has seen the likes of Pape Sarr and Lucas Bergvall start in the middle of the park under Postecoglou for the majority of the year.
This could see the former Juventus man accept his fate and look to depart the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to make way for Cardoso.

The Real Betis number four has certainly caught the eye in La Liga this campaign as a result, Spurs would be crazy not to activate their option to buy him.
This would likely see him come in from Spain to take up a regular starting role in N17 and leave Bentancur sliding down the pecking order.
