Ange Postecoglou may have shocked Tottenham Hotspur fans now that he's set to manage Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Aussie has had a tough time since leaving Spurs, tarnishing his reputation after his stint with Nottingham Forest.

Still, Spurs fans believe that he was treated unfairly by Daniel Levy, who decided to part ways with the head coach last summer, appointing Thomas Frank as his replacement.

After almost leading the Lilywhites to relegation, the club decided to sack Frank, as Roberto De Zerbi then saved the day with a dramatic final-day win to stay in the Premier League.

Most supporters have felt incredibly let down by the decision the club has made in the past 12 months, and that includes some managerial choices.

Postecoglou, for one, has moved on and now finds his next challenge in Saudi Arabia with Ronaldo.

Postecoglou has been linked with the Scotland job since the resignation of Steve Clarke, but it looks unlikely that he will take up the post right now.

Though Tottenham fans remember him fondly, the Aussie will need to make his next move count after a poor stint with Forest last time out.

The 60-year-old only lasted 39 days in charge at the City Ground before his successor, Vitor Pereira, showed him how it was done.

However, even he has now been replaced by Forest.

Saudi Arabian side Al-Nasr have now confirmed on Friday that Postecoglou has joined on a two-year deal, where he is now set to manage Ronaldo.

The former Celtic man quickly emerged as a top option for the Saudi Arabian outfit, as Spurs fans would be interested to see how he gets on in another part of the world.

Postecoglou already has experience in England, Scotland, Japan and more, as the Middle East is now his next stop.

However, after earning a reported £5million per year wage in N17, the head coach appears to have changed his wage demands.

Tottenham were paying Postecoglou a reported £96,000 per week, which wasn't a bad investment considering the Europa League title he brought back to North London.

Some fans would still like to see him return to the club in the future, but for now, De Zerbi has his own story to create at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

According to The Scottish Sun, Postecoglou's wage demands of £3.75m per year are the reason his potential Scotland international gig is now off.

The former Tottenham boss may have requested the same demands from Al-Nasr, though it would be no surprise if he also increased his salary wishes for a club like the Saudi giants.
