Tottenham v Leicester postponement latest after Met Office update
Tottenham and Leicester’s Premier League clash could be affected by rain but is unlikely to be postponed following the latest update from the Met Office.
Ange Postecoglou’s side will welcome the Foxes to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday (25 January) after a much-needed 3-2 win against Hoffenheim in the UEFA Europa League at the Rhein-Neckar-Arena on Thursday (23 January), during which one player made Postecoglou look stupid.
According to the Met Office, heavy rain is expected in and around the Tottenham area on Sunday afternoon which could lead to local flooding, with a yellow weather warning in place.
However, considering the modern facilities at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, a match postponement is unlikely, although there could be a delay to kick-off if travel to the stadium is disrupted by the weather.
Tottenham need three points against Leicester City
Spurs are currently sat 15th in the Premier League, with 19th-placed Leicester City just 10 points behind the North London side. Therefore, it is absolutely imperative that the home side claim three points on Sunday.
Postecoglou is under immense pressure at the moment, with his future at Tottenham thought to be dependent on the club’s progress in the Carabao Cup.
However, a win in the Premier League certainly wouldn’t hurt his chances of sticking around and could start to lift the mood around the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – which is a bit sour as of present.
Leicester have lost seven of their last eight games in the Premier League. Therefore, Spurs fans are unlikely to accept any excuses if their side fails to claim victory.

Injuries or not, the players available are more than good enough to claim a win over Leicester, and with the rain expected to come down hard on Sunday, those players better put on a show – otherwise, the mood could turn very ugly in North London.
In other Tottenham news, the club are huge favourites to sign one player after a £55million update.
