Tottenham drama as ‘Ange Postecoglou in bust-up’ with player

Ange Postecoglou having a ‘bust-up’ with James Maddison is nothing more than “hysteria”, according to Paul O Keefe.

Posting on his X account [27 January], journalist O Keefe responded to claims of a bust-up saying that “people love hysteria and to create drama” after Maddison was absent from Spurs’ defeat to Leicester.

Some suggested his omission was due to a falling out with Postecoglou, but that appears to not be the case, with the Australian revealing Maddison was injured.

Postecoglou is believed to be on the brink of facing the sack at Tottenham [The Sun] after a fourth league loss in a row.

Daniel Levy needs to pull the trigger at Tottenham

How far will Tottenham be allowed to regress before Daniel Levy decides enough is enough? For many, that time arrived several weeks and even months ago and yet Postecoglou is still in a job.

Spurs are going nowhere under his stewardship and it’s remarkable that Levy is either not seeing that, or refusing to act on it based on his own guilt.

Excuses keep getting made every single week and Postecoglou is simply running out of credible ones with the heat intensifying.

While it is unlikely to happen, Spurs are heading to a relegation battle unless a change is made with the performances each week getting even worse.

While the claims of a bust-up between Maddison and Postecoglou have been rubbished, it cant be too long until an incident like that occurs if there is to be any ambition held at the club.
