Jack Grealish transfer: Daniel Levy told ‘get him in’ after Tottenham update

Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted to the club’s proposed interest in Jack Grealish after fresh links have emerged over chasing a potential deal with Manchester City.

Some supporters have urged Daniel Levy to “get him in” with his minutes appearing very stop-start under Pep Guardiola, who Jack Gaughan of the Daily Mail [30 December] says does not expect to see any established members of his squad leave City in January.

Spurs and Daniel Levy are once again under pressure from supporters to act with form having taken a nosedive for Ange Postecoglou’s side in recent weeks, currently wedged in the bottom half of the Premier League.

Tottenham fans loud in their reaction to Grealish links

Grealish has never appeared fazed by the fact he would most likely receive far more game time away from the Etihad Stadium, and Guardiola seems assured he can easily keep the £100million England star onside.

John Wenham and Ian Darke are among those who cannot see a gargantuan January deal to bring Grealish to Spurs, though some supporters have pleaded with the hardened Levy to sanction a move which could change the whole mood in N17.

However, many of the Tottenham faithful believe they have seen these sorts of “tricks” and PR strategies before.

Plenty appear defiant they will not become caught up in the belief Levy would entertain a deal of such magnitude, particularly in the notoriously awkward January market.

It certainly doesn’t look likely that Tottenham would go all in as boldly as to punt for Grealish with his prior transfer fee and astronomical City salary – especially with the attacking talent already at the club – but this is football after all.

In other Tottenham news, fans urge Levy to stay away from considering this potential Postecoglou successor.
