John Wenham can't see Tottenham signing Manchester City star Jack Grealish.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose has described the England international as a "luxury player".

As a result, Wenham - speaking exclusively to Tottenham News - thinks a big-money transfer is unlikely.

“I question how good Grealish still is,” Wenham said.

“He was phenomenal when he was at Villa. However, after winning everything there is to win in football, I’m not sure he still has that same hunger.

“Whenever I watch him, he seems to just be a luxury player that goes through the motions. He would cost a lot of money as well. Therefore, I just can’t see that happening, if we’re being realistic.”

Tottenham to miss out on Manchester City star Jack Grealish?

Grealish would be a statement signing for Ange Postecoglou's side.

Bringing in an experienced winner with the ability of the 29-year-old could prove beneficial. However, it likely isn't worth the kind of money that would be required, with ex-Spurs scout Bryan King speculating that Manchester City would demand at least £50million.

Therefore, with Spurs not often a team that spends that kind of money, it appears as though a deal for the England international is unlikely.

However, while this might come as a blow to some supporters, there is a silver lining, as it appears as though the club could already have the next Grealish within their ranks.
