Luton vs Tottenham preview: Team news, lineups, prediction
Tottenham’s pre-season preparations continue when they travel to Kenilworth Road to take on Luton Town.
Following on from their 2-0 win against Reading on Saturday (19 July), Thomas Frank’s preparations ahead of his first season in charge in North London continue.
New signing Mohammed Kudus made his first appearance in a Spurs shirt following his move from West Ham, and supporters will have liked what they saw in his second-half cameo, with the Ghanaian registering an assist.
Despite Cristian Romero’s uncertain future with the Lilywhites, the defender started the game against Reading, with interest from Atletico Madrid in the defender seeming to have cooled.

Team news
Despite Richarlison also facing an uncertain future in N17, the Brazilian could be in line to start the game against Luton after slowly building his way back to full fitness.
Mathys Tel and Wilson Odobert will likely play in the wide areas, with both players returning from their extended break following the UEFA European Under-21 Championship.
In midfield, youngsters Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray could feature in the Spurs engine room, with Gray determined to make a good impression on Frank in his preferred position.
Luka Vuskovic’s outstanding performance against Reading means he is likely to retain his place in the heart of Spurs’ defence.

Prediction: Luton 0-3 Tottenham
Due to Frank’s arrival at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, quite a few players are fighting for their futures at Spurs, which should lead to some positive performances in pre-season.
Djed Spence will face stiff competition from Pedro Porro this season at right-back and must treat every start in pre-season like a Premier League game if he wants to feature prominently under Frank.
After featuring as a makeshift defender under Ange Postecoglou last season, Gray will want to impress Frank, who tried to sign the youngster from Leeds United whilst he was in charge at Brentford.
Richarlison arguably has the biggest point to prove; a few goals against Luton would give his confidence a much-needed lift going into the new season.
Following their relegation and departures of key players like Thelo Aasgaard, Luton should be no match for Spurs, who need to build momentum ahead of their UEFA Super Cup clash against Paris Saint-Germain.
