When Armend Muslika will get his Tottenham first-team breakthrough

Published on:

Armend Muslika could be set to make his Tottenham breakthrough in the near future.

Spurs expert John Wenham has revealed when the Albanian gem could have a chance to break into Roberto De Zerbi's side.

Muslika has been making waves in Spurs' academy, with several free-kick goals, that have only increased the hype around him.

He has notched a total 38 goals and 10 assists in 68 games for the Under-18's side.

Spurs fans are desperate to see some of their academy talents get into the senior ranks, with just Brandon Austin there at the moment.

Now, Wenham has shared when the 17-year-old will get his chance to step up.

When will Armend Muslika get his first-team call up at Tottenham?

The Lilywhite Rose account owner raved about Muslika's talent and believes it won't be too long before he is in and around De Zerbi's squad.

Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, he said: “Really good player, he is a number 10, who went a little bit under the radar last year, because Luca Williams-Barnett was still with the Under-18s a little bit before he came up for the Under-21s.

“Armend is a very good number 10 in his own right, he was called up for Albania, I think up to under-23 levels.

“Can score all sorts of ridiculous goals, he’s a bit of a free-kick demon as well, scores lots of long-range goals into the top corner.

“Him and Oliver Boast are battling together to be the top scorer in the Under-18s league this year.

“I think he’s exceptionally good, I think it’ll be next season when he makes his breakthrough, I expect he moves up to the Under-21s from January this season and continues to excel."

Why Muslika is in line for Tottenham first

Muslika recently committed his future to the N17 side, when he signed a first professional contract.

He joined the Hotspur Way academy at the age of 13 and he could become the first Albanian to ever play a competitive match for the Lilywhites.

They previously had Elliot Krasniqi and Leon Myrtaj is currently in the academy, but neither made a senior appearance.

Muslika has already been spotted in training with the North London side's first-team earlier this season, so surely it is only a matter of time before he is called upon.
