Tottenham's biggest flaw exposed vs Everton after 'absolutely diabolical' stat

Tottenham once again failed to score against Everton on Saturday.

The North London outfit welcomed the Toffees home on 12 September and extended their underwhelming run after the 0-0 draw.

It has now been four games in the Premier League since the Lilywhites last found the back of the net.

Spurs made multiple attacking additions in the transfer window, but none of them was able to get the better of the Everton defence.

The North Londoners sit 17th in the table after failing to win any league matches.

While the striker might get a large portion of the blame, the Lilywhites' biggest flaw may lie elsewhere.

Dominic Solanke's Tottenham display against Everton hardly did the striker any favours.

Roberto De Zerbi gave the England international the nod in his starting lineup, but he failed to produce much.

The North London outfit have now gone six hours in the Premier League without scoring a goal.

Jamie Redknapp is confused by Spurs' struggles up front, as he didn't think it would be a problem with the quality of players at the Italian manager's disposal.

Speaking on Sky Sports, as relayed by BBC Sport, the Englishman said, "I thought Tottenham would have problems this season, but not in the goal-scoring department.

"With players like Solanke, Omar Marmoush, James Maddison and even midfielders like Sandro Tonali, Maddison and Mateus Fernandes, you would think they would somehow be able to get a goal.

"To not score a Premier League goal in six hours of football is absolutely diabolical from Tottenham."

While Solanke didn't do much during his 63 minutes on the pitch against Everton, he lacked support from his Tottenham teammates.

According to Sofascore, the North Londoners recorded an xG of 0.69 and created just one big chance despite dominating Everton in possession.

On average, Spurs have created 1.8 big chances per game in the Premier League this season.

Savio, Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes have recorded the highest overall xA amongst the squad, with 0.53, 0.4 and 0.26, respectively.

The Lilywhites haven't given their number nines enough support this campaign, and De Zerbi must fix that.

Dominating possession is good, but it's useless if Tottenham can't make it count.
