Mohammed Kudus has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham this summer.

Since arriving, Thomas Frank has had very little help from the board at Tottenham in terms of recruitment, with the permanent addition of Mathys Tel still the only piece of business in North London.

However, that is expected to change as soon as the PSR deadline approaches, with business set to accelerate from July onwards.

One of those who could make the move next month is Kudus, with a fresh update emerging on Spurs' pursuit of the winger.

Kudus transfer could kickstart Tottenham's summer business

Frank simply needs to be backed by Daniel Levy if Spurs are to have any chance of seeing progression in the domestic competitions this season.

With a return on the cards for Dennis Cirkin, it is evident that Spurs are keen to add depth, but adding players who can improve the starting 11 needs to be a priority, and Kudus could do that.

Via Matt Law on X, Spurs are extremely keen on signing Kudus, putting an end to their "unofficial transfer embargo" with the Irons, with the last transfer between the two clubs coming 14 years ago.

The West Ham star has a release clause of around £85million until the second week in July, with Spurs hoping they can strike a deal for significantly less than that.

Tottenham are wasting valuable time

The transfer window has been open for weeks, and yet Spurs have yet to have even come close to a major new arrival, despite the need for them.

That needs to change once July is upon us; otherwise, they face the risk of setting Frank up for immediate failure in north London.

This summer is going to play a deciding role in the success that Tottenham can find next season, and they can't afford to stumble any more.
