Tottenham fans given rare reason to be cheerful after latest Oliver Boast scenes

Oliver Boast is doing little to calm the hype after his latest antics at age-grade level for Tottenham Hotspur.

The teenager made the switch to North London from Leeds United in the summer of 2025.

Boast enjoyed a superb maiden campaign with Spurs as he scored 14 goals and registered four assists for the Under-18s.

Still aged just 17, Boast already has eight goals this season for the U18s and is joint-top scorer in the division.

There are hopes that he will make the step up to first-team level before too long.

And he has already taken the next step towards achieving that after impressing in his first appearance for the Under-21s.

Boast has proved he is too good for U18s level, as highlighted by his eight goals and four assists already in just five matches this season.

The Talent Spotter hailed his "incredible" rise in a post on Instagram on Tuesday night.

It is little surprise, then, that he is now being given a chance at U21s level.

He did not need long to make an impact, either, as he scored an equaliser for Tottenham when introduced as a second-half substitute against Dinamo Zagreb.

Tottenham went on to win the U21 Premier League International Cup match 3-1, but it would not have been possible without Boast on his first outing at that level.

It may well be that he is used regularly for the U21s, rather than dropping back down to the U18s.

Boast has been likened to Robbie Keane and has also been capped by England at U15, U16 and U17 level.

The centre-forward is clearly a player on his way to the very top, ideally with Tottenham.

Having signed professional terms this summer, he will now continue his development at Hotspur Way.

Supporters would no doubt love to see him in and around the first team before long, with the fanbase desperate for anything to be positive about right now.

However, Tottenham's defeat to Liverpool on Tuesday means there is one less route to that happening this season.

Cup competitions provide Roberto De Zerbi a chance to bring in youngsters, but only the FA Cup remains now, with that competition beginning in January.

Boast just needs to continue doing what he is doing and hopefully his trajectory sees him continue this form at senior level before too long.
