Supercomputer predicts exactly where Tottenham will finish in 2026-2027 Premier League
Roberto De Zerbi is just days away from beginning his first full season as Tottenham Hotspur manager.
The Italian will be looking to guide Tottenham out of the rubble they have found themselves in over the last couple of seasons.
Two back-to-back 17th-place finishes were far from what is expected, but the first was at least diminished by the Europa League success in 2024-2025.
Now, as Tottenham gear up to take on Brentford in an all-London clash on 22 August, the supercomputer has shared its predicted table for the upcoming campaign.
Tottenham, of course, will have their aspirations and goals for what is expected of De Zerbi.
And these latest predictions may fall below those expectations.
Has the Opta supercomputer predicted Tottenham to finish in European places?
This season eyes will firmly be on getting back into European competition for Tottenham.
The financial and transfer market boost that provides cannot be understated, and De Zerbi has been given a large mandate to achieve that.
Opta Analyst's supercomputer has previously predicted Tottenham's chances of qualifying for the Champions League.
However, now their full predicted table has emerged with the season officially kicking off on 21 August.
According to their expected table, Tottenham will qualify for Europe based on last season's European places.
In his first full season, De Zerbi is expected to finish in eight place, which would hand Spurs UEFA Conference League qualification.
The Lilywhites are jotted down for an expected points total of 52.86.
Fifty-three points is what Brighton achieved last season in order to finish in eight place as well.
They are also predicted to finish 6.18 points behind fourth placed Manchester United.
Would De Zerbi settle for Conference League?
De Zerbi is an ambitious man and he will have higher hopes than qualifying for UEFA's third-rate competition.
The Europa League and Champions League offer much better benefits both monetary and status-wise when looking to improve the squad.
The Italian will undoubtedly look to overachieve based on the predicted table and will likely target that top four.
Whether or not Spurs can achieve that finish remains to be seen, but the general feeling around the club is filled with positivity and optimism.
And the first game of the season against Brentford will give De Zerbi an early look into what his squad needs to improve on to push for that ambition.
