Sandro Tonali stole the show vs Hoffenheim

There has been so much said about the money that the Lilywhites have spent this summer.

Many believe that Spurs have overpaid for Sandro Tonali, but it didn't show against the Bundesliga side.

The Italy international was simply superb as his energy made a telling difference, while his quality was clear for all to see.

That saw him complete three passes into the final third, before helping out the other way with four defensive contributions.

Tonali simply looked a class above at times and could prove to be a real game-changer in N17 this season.

Marcos Senesi nothing special for Tottenham

When you're coming in as a centre-back in North London, Micky van de Ven is your challenge.

As a result, Marcos Senesi had to show his best after coming in against Hoffenheim.
