What games Savio could miss as injury truth revealed ahead of Tottenham vs Coventry
Tottenham Hotspur's injury situation has deepened further ahead of Coventry City.
Roberto De Zerbi's side welcome the newly-promoted Sky Blues to N17 on Monday evening.
Tottenham sit rock-bottom of the Premier League table, and are in desperate need of their first win ASAP.
Coventry presents a can't-miss opportunity to do so, despite Frank Lampard's side already earning two league wins this term.
The Lilywhites faithful won't accept anything other than a victory though, as pressure begins to mount on De Zerbi.
Speaking ahead of Monday night's game, the Italian was quizzed on the fitness status of a few important players, with Savio a surprise blow.
What has Roberto De Zerbi said about Savio's injury prognosis?
Tottenham are now back on home soil after jetting off for a warm-weather training camp in Marbella this week.
De Zerbi will hope that training in more humid conditions can boost his players' fitness and conditioning moving forward.
One player who didn't take part in the training camp was Savio, and we now know why.
Writing via X on Sunday, Tottenham reporter Alasdair Gold has shared De Zerbi's answer to a question regarding Spurs' injury updates.
"No Savio, unfortunately Savio on Tuesday before leaving for Marbella felt a muscular problem and we have lost him for some weeks," he said.
"And Lucas Bergvall, he had a problem in Manchester early on in the first chance he created for Dominic Solanke."
Savio has started all four of his Premier League appearances this season, culminating in 331 minutes on the pitch.
However, despite scoring and assisting once in the Carabao Cup, he's yet to register his first goal contribution in the top flight as a Spurs player.
So, what could be the most likely game Savio returns to fitness for after this update from the Tottenham gaffer?
When is the next international break?
"For some weeks" is a tough injury timeline to decipher for Savio, as it could mean as little as two, or potentially a few months out.
At the very least, the Brazilian now looks sure to miss the rest of this month, which consists of three games against Coventry, Chelsea and Crystal Palace.
Spurs then play their final game before the next international break on 7 November against Leeds.
The break then runs from the 9th to the 17th of November, with Spurs then resuming their league campaign at home to Ipswich on the 21st.
This looks to be a likely target for Savio's return then, which if to be the case, would see him miss four Premier League games.
He will be sorely missed too, as per FotMob, no Premier League player in his position this season has completed more dribbles than his 18.
The 22-year-old has taken 35 touches in the opposition box, created 11 chances, delivered six successful crosses and won six final-third possessions.
It seems highly unlikely then that Spurs will such an impactful player back to fitness before the international break.
