Tottenham Hotspur have released a new line of training gear ahead of the new season.

It has been a summer of change for the Lilywhites both on and off the pitch.

Roberto De Zerbi is at the helm and is bringing in fresh faces to help turn the tide after a dreadful season.

Mateus Fernandes, Sandro Tonali and Jan Paul van Hecke have come in for sizable fees and have been well-received in N17.

It has been all go away from the market as well with new sponsorship already secure.

Betano have come in as training sponsor, although the latest reveal doesn't make much sense.

What are Tottenham getting from new Betano deal?

It has been a period of change for many Premier League teams this summer after the front-of-shirt sponsor ban for betting firms.

That didn't impact Spurs and their link to AIA, but it has still worked to their advantage.

The rules don't impact training gear, so it affords these gambling companies to pivot.

Betano has swapped Aston Villa's front-of-shirt for Tottenham's training kit to become their official training wear partner for the 2026/27 season.

They paid the Villans £20m-per-year for their deal, while the Lilywhites were previously £10m-per-year by training partner BetMGM.

It is safe to assume that Betano are paying a figure in between the two, but Spurs could have easily demanded more.

Tottenham could have demanded more from Betano

With all that being said, you would expect the North London club to sell Betano branded gear to fans all year long.

That isn't going to be the case as the new release of training kit doesn't feature the sponsor for fans.

There are various designs for the new release, one of which is navy and features a light blue stripe on the shoulder, a yellow stripe on the arm and "THFC" on the back in white.

It also features an AliPay sponsor on the sleeve, which begs the question why Betano doesn't feature.

Spurs could have demanded more from them to feature on the fan version of training gear and improved their finances further.

It seems to be an open goal missed from the N17 club as an opportunity to secure even more revenue was seemingly possible.
