Archie Gray may be young, but Tottenham Hotspur supporters believe he has earned the right to hold his head high despite relegation threatening Spurs.

It has been a horrid season for the N17 outfit, who are lingering on the edge of their top-flight status being taken away.

Over the course of the season, Gray has been a standout, with his fight and determination earning him praise from the Spurs faithful.

Now, that appreciation has taken another big leap after the defeat to Crystal Palace, with many calling for him to have a bigger role in North London ahead of Tottenham’s next clash with Atletico Madrid.

What do Tottenham fans want to happen with Archie Gray?

Gray’s performance against Crystal Palace was a rare highlight during the 3-1 defeat, and that did not go unnoticed.

However, the praise for Gray has continued to rumble on in the aftermath, as many supporters have begun requesting that his role be changed.

With many viewing his recent displays as one of the few players still fighting for the badge, there have been calls for him to become part of the leadership group.

Others over on X have had similar reactions over the last few days, with more calls to include him in the leadership group.

Others have quantified his impact at Tottenham by requesting the owners to give him a hefty pay rise.

While another fan believes Gray is the exact type of player Spurs need more of at the moment.

Overall, Gray has been standing out to the Lilywhites fans in a positive way, and Tottenham have to try to ensure his future remains in N17.

However, that may not be easy if relegated.

Why Tottenham may not have Gray much longer

Tottenham may not even have the time to give Gray the luxury of being added to the leadership team, as if they are relegated, he could be one of those who leave.

Gray has been linked with Borussia Dortmund, and if Spurs head to the Championship, you can expect many other clubs to begin sniffing around Hotspur Way.

Igor Tudor simply has to start bringing in results to prevent that possibility.

The Croatian must also use the Englishman in his preferred position, although Joe Hart did eat his words for saying the same about Gray.

The 19-year-old could have so much more impact in the middle of the pitch rather than being shoved out wide or in defence.

And with fans beginning to notice those leadership qualities, they would also be better suited to the centre of the pitch, where he could impact more players.
