Tottenham to sell Manor Solomon with Leeds ‘ready to pay whatever’ – Exclusive

Manor Solomon has thrived in his season out on loan from Tottenham in the Championship.

Until Tottenham are aware of their Europa League fate, they will be taking very little notice of the decisions that will be required in the coming months.

Recruitment is going to be crucial for Tottenham, and the likelihood is that several players will also seek greener pastures away from North London.

Solomion, after his success with Leeds, is one of those who Spurs will need to make a decision on, and Paul Robinson thinks that there is only one real outcome.

Leeds told to sign Solomon permanently this summer

Solomon looks as though he will be leaving Tottenham to seek regular first-team football elsewhere, and Robinson thinks that Leeds could be his destination, while also reiterating that they will likely get him at a good price.

Speaking to Tottenham News, he said: “If you’re Leeds, you go and sign him straight away. He’s been a vital player in what Leeds have done this year. And I think for Leeds now, they’ve got an opportunity to go and sign him early on, go and pay whatever it takes to get him out.

Solomon has done well for Leeds this past season.

“Tottenham are in a position at the moment where they don’t know where they’re going to be next year, as in Champions League, European football, who the manager’s going to be. If I were Leeds United, I’d go in with a bid now and try and buy him straight away, because I think there’ll be other suitors looking at him. For Tottenham, yeah, I think he’s a top-quality player.

“Is he at the level that would make anything better in that Tottenham starting XI? He’s not going to push for a starting XI place every week at Tottenham. And I think for Leeds, they’ve got a good quality player who fits the system that Daniel Farke wants to play. So, from a Leeds point of view, go and get him, go and pay what it takes now, because it won’t be overly priced.

“You’ll get him out for a reasonable fee. And for the player’s point of view as well, I think he’ll probably look at that and go, look, I’ve had a fantastic season there. We’ll go again, and I know I’m going to play every week.”

Solomon sale could be risky for Tottenham

Solomon has showcased his quality this season, and depending on who is the manager at Tottenham next season, he could have a big role to play.

Taking that into account, any decision made on his future must wait until the managerial situation is sorted, or else they are taking a fairly big risk.

It is imperative that Spurs have depth next campaign, and Solomon would be perfect for that, especially if European football is secured.
