Sky Sports pundit backs Tottenham forward to leave in 'absolutely brilliant' deal

Tottenham expect an exodus of players to follow their woeful Premier League campaign.

Tottenham loanee has attracted wider interest

Tottenham's trend of selling or loaning players who go on to win things elsewhere continued this season, with Harry Kane lifting his first trophy whilst Manor Solomon has helped Leeds win the Championship.

Another player who could be in line to achieve a remarkable feat is Jamie Donley, currently on loan at Leyton Orient, hoping to guide them through the League One playoffs.

Donley, who made his senior debut under Ange Postecoglou, has enjoyed a promising spell across the capital that has caught the attention of clubs across the Championship and even the Premier League.

One of the teams vying for his signature is West Brom, whose reported interest in the Northern Irish international has been given the green light by Sky Sports pundit Lee Hendrie.

According to Footballleagueworld, Hendrie was quoted as saying, "He's been one of the stand-out players in League One," before going on to claim that he would be "an absolutely brilliant signing for West Bromwich Albion."

Donley must be given chance at Spurs

Donley's time at Orient has proven to be an unmitigated success, and he has shown attributes that could see him thrive in the Premier League.

His output has been excellent and has reaped praise for both his technical ability and maturity on the pitch, which is especially notable for a teenager in the physically demanding lower leagues.

Donley is not the only academy product garnering interest, with Mikey Moore also being closely monitored, but the hierarchy must resist any offers for now and let their graduates continue to develop.
